Blister stop

I have had to spend a couple more days in Arras due to bad feet but I am on the road again tomorrow heading for Baupaume. Nice place to be stuck but now wanting to get on. In retrospect the photos did not speak for themselves so this is a bit of an explanation. The first photo is proof that I left from the Abbey. The next is two days later at Dover when I was unsure if I could get away due to ferries. The next is the view from Cap Blanc Nez. I walked the next six miles down the beach in the sun. I have had to camp for one night only but they gave me the standard site for a caravan or mobile and there I am up against the hedge to get maximum protection against the wind and cold. It did not work as I froze that night. The next photo is Arras old centre and the final one is pretty much typical of what the countryside is like.

In France

I am in Arras after about ten days on the road. Doing about fifteen miles a day without any problem but the twenty odd I did on Thursday hqve done for ny feet so having a rest stop here for a couple of days . Weather has been great with only one day getting soaked. Jill and I walked from Canterbury to Dover and I manages to beat the blockade. Stayed in small hotels and cqmp sites. The photos give a better feel for where I have been.
